From Blah to Beautiful!

This cabinet received a complete overhaul!
I believe it used to house a stereo of some sort.
It's second time around, it can be used for all kinds of great storage!
For dishes in a kitchen, clothes in a bedroom, blankets, in a bathroom to store towels, etc. And for those of you who like to sew, you could store all your fabric in here!

It was quite a job getting these shelves back into working order!

I covered all the shelf surfaces with anaglypta.

Now her insides look as pretty as the outside!

She's ready for her hardware, I used the
original hardware and spray painted them black.

Now time for a little distressing and she'll be ready to go!

A New Look for Old Bottles!

I collect bottles, I am sure they aren't worth much, but for some reason I have always been drawn to them. I was trying to think of a way to decorate with them doing something different.
So I went on to the Graphics Fairy and did a search for vintage labels, these are some that I found!

Here's the bottle before, pretty... but a plain Jane.

Now look at her!! She's a beauty!

The labels really dress up the bottles.

Here's part of my collection. I found the cabinet in a consignment shop a few years back,
it was one of those purchases I didn't have to think twice about!

They look like little gems in a sea of glass.

More of my collection, some of these will be getting labels too.

...and some more

Here are some I put in my shop.

Thanks for looking!

Ash Sifter Turned Shelf!

I love re-purposing objects, this is a perfect example!

Here are some "before" shots.

I primed, painted and distressed. Then added
two picture hangers on the back (the ones with teeth).

You could decorate this in so many cute ways!

Building A Wreath

I was commissioned to create a wreath for a local salon.
He requested that I use neutral tones, so here's what I came up with!

I went to this awesome place that has so much fun stuff to decorate with,
it's called Grenon's Trading Company in Bedford, NH. Their permanent botanicals
are nothing like you'd find at Michael's, I decided to get all my supplies here!

Some wonderful wheat!

Not sure what this is, but I had to have it!

A little bit of Babies Breath.

Some shrooms and small pods, I love working with this stuff!

I started with an 18" grapevine wreath.

I usually stick a piece in, stand back, and see how it
looks from a distance, then glue into place, using a hot glue gun.

It's starting to have a nice flow, but still so much more to add,
and it always takes more than you think.

I will be adding a burlap ribbon to the left hand side,
that's why it's not as full as the other side. I don't know about you,
but I have really been into burlap lately!

Still not looking quite right. The bow is too skimpy,
so I'll add a few more loops, but a different size.

Much better!

So...  what do you think?
Are you thinking you might need a new wreath for your front door this spring?

Linky parties I will be joining:
